和紙は、何世紀にもわたる日本の文化と技術の結晶であり
その美しさと機能性は現代でも非常に高く評価され様々な形で活かされています。
和紙の素晴らしさは、その独特な特性と美しさにあります。
和紙は、主に楮（こうぞ）、三椏（みつまた）、雁皮（がんぴ）
といった植物繊維を用いて作られ、手漉きという伝統的な技術で製造されます。
これにより、和紙は他の紙にはないような魅力を持っています。
和紙について
Washi is the culmination of centuries of Japanese culture and craftsmanship, and its beauty and functionality continue to be highly valued in various forms even today. The uniqueness of washi lies in its distinctive qualities and aesthetic appeal. Washi is primarily made using plant fibers such as kozo (mulberry), mitsumata, and gampi, and is traditionally handcrafted through a method known as tesuki. This traditional process gives washi a charm that is unmatched by other types of paper.

E・L・S Washi Speakersの製品を一言で表現するのであれば平面バッフルと密閉の良いところを取り入れたようなスピーカーです。
平面バッフルにおける部屋の反射音は少なくなり、密閉のように（バスレフも同様）箱の中で閉じ込められ、こもった感じは随分と少なくなっています。
それにより、細かな音がかなり聞こえ、空間は目の前に広がり音の濁りが少ないので、音を小さく絞っても音が枯れてしまう事はありません。
大きくしても素直に朗々と鳴ってくれます。
ジャズボーカルくらいなら上手に歌いますので聞いてみてください。
また今までオーディオだけであったスピーカーも、様々な場面を楽しく演出してくれます。
基本的には小編成の弦楽器を中心にユニットを選んでおります。オケやピアノ、打楽器は少々苦手な性格ですが、ユニットを交換することによって、より自分好みの音質へと近づけることも可能です。

和紙と骨組みだけですので軽く、和紙の風合いが良いためインテリアとしても好評です。
E.L.S Washi Speakers can be described in one word as speakers that incorporate the best features of both open baffle and sealed designs. The reflection of sound within the room is minimized, similar to an open baffle, while the sound is less confined and muffled within the enclosure, much like in a sealed (or bass-reflex) design.
This allows even the finest details to be heard, creating an expansive soundstage right before your ears, with minimal distortion. The sound doesn’t lose its richness even at low volumes, and when turned up, it resonates beautifully and naturally. For jazz vocals, these speakers deliver with finesse, so give them a listen. Additionally, these speakers, traditionally used only for audio, will now enrich various environments with their delightful presence.
The units are primarily selected to suit small string ensembles. While they may not excel at reproducing orchestral music, piano, or percussion, the sound can be tailored more to your liking by swapping out the units.
Being made only of washi paper and a frame, these speakers are lightweight, and their washi texture makes them popular as interior decor.
